Staten Island may soon see longer-lasting roads with new asphalt mix
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- The city Department of Transportation (DOT) may soon use an innovative asphalt mixture believed to create longer-lasting roads -- first tested here a few years ago -- to pave Staten Island streets.
The asphalt rubber, which consists of recycled crumb rubber and liquid asphalt cement, may be used as early as this spring, according to Steven Garber, chairman and co-founder of Phoenix Industries, an Arizona-based company focused on developing new technology for the modified asphalt industry.
PROFESSOR LUCIUS RICCIO, former Commissioner New York City Dept. of Transportation advocates for rubberized asphalt patching for potholes to elongate the life of the roadway by 30%. Click here to view his presentation "POTHOLE ANALYTICS" at Columbia University

Revolutionary and Unique Patented Rubberized Technology Solution now available to Mitigate Potholes!
The United States and all countries across the globe are suffering major weather issues causing roadway pavement collapse. Existing systems for conventional paving and maintenance are inadequate to cope with degradation of streets and highways. In addition, municipal budgets are underfunded increasing potential liability to drivers and property damage.
